During the 2012 Summer Institute some students worked with KBBI public radio, learning the basics of sound collection, editing and mixing for the purpose of creating an audio documentary of the Summer Intensive. Students learned proper interviewing skills, including formulating important questions, and how to tell a good oral story. Students worked on techniques and editing in the morning and collected interviews and impressions each afternoon. The final product was designed by students gathering interviews, stories and impressions of the entire SI project and orginally broadcast on KBBI AM 890 on June 19 from 1:00-3:00 PM.
