Bridging Exploration Institute Sunday evening August 3 – Wednesday August 6. Register Now!

What:  This special three-day event is specifically designed to meet the needs of fall 2014 9th graders transitioning to high school and for 8th graders to gain skills through various exploration activities.  Many fun activities will be included both indoors and outdoors that will help successfully bridge students from middle school to high school.  Included in these activities are leadership skills, study skills, career exploration, many fun games/activities, and planning for the high school experience and beyond.  Ninth graders will have the opportunity to sign up for the GRAD scholarship and to become part of the Project GRAD Scholar team.


  • Fly in villages begin Sunday evening, August 3 thru Wednesday, August 6, 2014.
  • Russian site students will travel from their village Monday morning, August 4 thru Wednesday afternoon, August 6, 2014.
  • Students will be staying in the Kenai Peninsula College dormitory.
  • A detailed daily schedule with bus and plane schedule will be mailed and emailed at the end of July to those who register.

Who:  Current Fall 2014 8th & 9th grade students

Costs:  Free of charge:  transportation, meals, and lodging provided

Accommodations & Bus:  Kenai Peninsula College dorms.  Busing to Soldotna (Sunday evening=fly in villages & Russian sites Monday morning with a return on Wednesday evening)
